Le Centre de Formation Professionnelle Sankuru est un projet développé pour la Fondation Sinfonia à Kole, en République démocratique du Congo.
Le centre est destiné à la formation de maçons, charpentiers, menuisiers, plombiers, électriciens, couturières et professionnels de la restauration.
Le projet s’appuie sur les ressources et savoir-faire locaux. Les bâtiments seront principalement construits en terre, notamment en adobe, avec des matériaux disponibles dans la région. Le chantier fera lui-même partie du processus de formation : les apprentis maçons et charpentiers participeront directement à la construction du centre.
Je travaille depuis 2024 à la conception architecturale et constructive du projet, à son développement technique et à la préparation de sa réalisation, en collaboration avec les partenaires locaux et les ingénieurs du projet.
Le début des travaux est prévu en août 2026.
The Sankuru Vocational Training Centre is a project developed for the Sinfonia Foundation in Kole, Democratic Republic of the Congo.
The centre will provide vocational training for masons, carpenters, joiners, plumbers, electricians, seamstresses and catering professionals.
The project is based on local resources and skills. The buildings will be constructed primarily with earth, particularly adobe, using materials available in the region. The construction process itself will be part of the training: apprentice masons and carpenters will participate directly in building the centre.
Since 2024, I have been working on the architectural and construction design, technical development and preparation for construction, in collaboration with local partners and the project engineers.
Construction is scheduled to begin in August 2026.
